The Sky Crawlers, the last book of its series of novels, takes place in an alternate time-line, following the lives of a group of adolescent fighter pilots, known as Kildren. The award-winning, Oscar-nomination-possible film, adapted from a part of 森博嗣 (MORI Hiroshi)‘s five-part novel, is directed by 押井守 (Oshii Mamoru).

Returning to AFA08 after an eventful day 1, I was only mildly interested in the Cosplay Mania. Nevertheless it was still interesting enough. I realised there was an Al Azif cosplay, but I never did get close enough to get any shots. Somehow I missed out on Illya and Lolicard ones as well.
After braving through day 1 of AFA08, all I wanna say is that it’s pretty awesome right down to the last. Or rather it was made awesome because of the concert by Ichirou Mizuki (ANIKI!).
Two days ago I had the rare opportunity to attend a workshop hosted by Animax, with Dannychoo speaking about blogging.
Those present were pretty much all local bloggers like tj_han from RIUVA, darkmirage, AK, double, gordon, alafista, Impz from THAT, eddie from CDS, and tueac from SPLA, etc etc. I don’t exactly know everyone there, but this is all I can remember.
With one of my usual makan crusaders in China, my usual look-for-good-food-place days are more or less tamer. Not that I’m complaining since I’m still saving up money for a trip to the Camerons… yet again lol.
That aside, it’ll be Danny Choo’s blogging workshop at Animax tomorrow. And before that I’ll have a nasty test. These couple of weeks see a nice bunch of examinable abominations which is really pretty taxing. As well as the AFA 08 this weekend.
I’M ALIVE!
Cheers
p.s. Will be covering stuff from the DC workshop. If I’m allowed that is. Copyright infringement in Singapore is serious business.
